Livelihood: Financial empowerment of rural women

Nari Utthan Sansthan is working for economic empowerment of rural vulnerable and marginalized women by forming Self Help Groups around three blocks of Rajasthan (Thanagazi, Bansur and Viratnagar). Around 6388 women are being catered through 552 SHGs since 2011 till to date. These SHGs are involved in Rajasthani Doll making, Masala, Agriculture, Pickle, and Dairy Production, Green Construction (making concrete blocks and tiles), Sanitation initiative and health initiatives. A total mount Rs. 8, 38, 90, 024 (eight caror thirty eight lakh ninety thousand twenty four only) of credit linkage have done for the SHG members (loaning agency ICICI Bank, PNB and NABARD).

A several time these SHG members were appriciated by a number of Govt. officieals like :

  • Smt. Shakuntala Yadav, MLA Bansur, Alwar;

  • Mr. Muktanand Agarwal, Collector, Alwar;

  • Mr. Kailash Chandra Sharma, SDM Thanagazi, Alwar (Current);

  • Smt. Jyoti Prajapat, BDO Thanagazi, Alwar;

  • Mr. Suresh Kumar Khinchi, Additional SP, Alwar;

  • Smt. Suman Sharma, President, Mahila Ayog;

  • Smt. Rita Bhargav, Member, Mahila Ayog;

  • Smt. Manan Chaturvedi, President, RSCPCR, Rajasthan for their initiatives
